Kyouya sighed as he walked down the sidewalk, hands in his pockets as he glanced around. He had the air of slight impatience around him as he searched. He was obviously not very happy and it seemed to have something to do with the notebook and books he had tucked rather tightly under one arm.

He was currently looking for White Willow apartment complex. One of his classmates was absent and his professor had so kindly instructed him to make sure that his classmate got her homework. Not wanting to seem uncooperative and since he was really free, he decided to agree. It wasn't a hard task after all. Unfortunately, his car was not available. His driver informed him that it was going to get waxed and it would take a while. Only the best service for the Ootoris after all. And the cabs don't like going into the crowded area where the White Willow was, so he had to walk ( ... )

[ooc; are they in the same class then? X3]

Yet another trip up to and down from the third floor, and Mahiru worked her shoulder a bit. It was starting to ache from carrying the boxes, and as she passed the security station in the lobby, the guard there gave her a sympathetic look.

She was about to smile and wave to him then-- and instead walked right into someone else. "Oof!" Batty squeaked in surprise from her pocket; there was almost an indignant tone to it, and Mahiru hoped he hadn't been squished too badly.

"Ah!" Speaking of which; "I'm sorry!" Bowing apologetically, she looked up at the person she'd bumped into and-- "Ootori-san! What are you doing here?" This wasn't, after all, the kind of neighborhood one expected to find someone like Ootori Kyouya.

[ooc: mm? o.o I don't think so... Unless Mahiru's in university.]

Kyouya bit down an audible curse as someone collided him. What was with everyone bumping into him lately? A hand reached up to rearrange his glasses and to start those headache soothing exercises he was taught in that stress-relief program he found himself enrolled in some months ago. The person who bumped into him apologized quickly and he was a bit surprised when she knew his name.

Dark almond eyes blinked then narrowed a bit as he tried to remember where he saw her before... "It's all right..."

"Oh, ah... s-sorry, you probably don't even..." An embarrassed giggle, and Mahiru rubbed at her hair slightly and smoothed her shirt. "Um, I ran into you before at the library... at the University."

She seemed to always run head first into him, and hoped absently that it wouldn't be a trend. Bowing again, she stammered off another apology; "I really should have been watching where I was going!"

Allen looked from the closest street sign, to his poorly hand-made map then back to the sign. He knew where he was supposed to be but unfortunately, this place wasn’t it. He checked his watch and, after a few seconds of consideration, found he still had two hours before his job interview.

He wandered around the area a little bit, trying to find a street he recognised or knew remotely but with little success. Tracing his steps didn’t work either but managed to get him even more lost. Being typically male, he didn’t want to ask anyone for directions but with only an hour and a half away from losing a potential job, he had little choice.

He noticed a large sum of boxes across the street from him and a young looking woman alone hauling them around. It would be rude to not at least ask to help out so he crossed the road. “Would you like a hand with anything?” he asked with his default pleasant smile.

Mahiru was taking a five-minute break. After all, she'd been hauling boxes for who-knew-how-long now, and was starting to tire out. Now she wished she'd asked the guys at the Moonshine if they would help her out with moving in as well... but then again, she hadn't wanted to bother them.

"Uwaa~" She was just leaning back against what would be her bed (when she got it upstairs and put it together again) when a voice broke the silence, and Mahiru blinked before looking toward the source.

"Oh... haha!" She had to giggle, and waved a hand slightly; "is it that obvious I've been doing this all day?"

Allen’s smile widened. People around had become so much more sociable recently. Was it the music ban causing it? “You looked kinda tired so I thought you might like someone to help you out”. There was plenty of time for him to figure out where he was and be at his interview on time. He’d probably ask her for directions later.

He looked around at the boxes. “You have an awful lot of stuff”, he chuckled, half-wishing he could get a new apartment. Kanda’s old one was too small for him. “Oh yeah”, he held a hand out. “I’m Allen. Nice to meet you”

[ooc:: I said “he” an awful lot sorry ^^;;;;]

"Help?" Mahiru smiled; considering she had only just arrived at the apartment complex, it was nice to see that people in the area were so friendly. "Well..." Help would definitely make things go faster...

Then he held out his hand and introduced himself, and Mahiru giggled, reaching to shake his hand lightly. "Mahiru desu! Nice to meet you Allen~"
