The pitter-patter of rainfall had started at some point while he was in the cab on the way to the bar. He paid, climbed out and had rushed to the door, but by the time he was inside his hair was already stuck to his face, water running down his face in rivulets. Running a hand through the wet tresses, he squeezed some of the moisture out before rubbing through his hair to coax it back into its usual, somewhat messy style ( ... )

Unfortunately for Allen, tonight was a bit busier than usual. And the fact that there were a limited number of staff working tonight didn’t help the matter. He had been called down from his apartment to work, even though he shouldn’t have started for another hour. Another drag about living above your work place… you can’t pretend you’re not in.

He finished making a rather “overly-attractive” woman a vodka and coke (he blushed because her boobs were half showing and she called all her friends over to show off how cute he was ><) and was relieved to see a familiar face at the other side of the bar. Were it up to him he would have served Lavi his drink and sat down for a chat but the night was way too busy for that. Instead he waved and shouted a greeting above the racket and served another person, a bit closer to him, with the intention of working his way to Lavi ( ... )

Storming out of the Shinra building in a huff without an umbrella or a coat probably wasn't one of the smarter things Rufus had ever done. Of course, it was absolutely the last thing on his mind at the time. He'd stalked straight out of Sephiroth's office, and out of the building, desperately needing to take a walk to clear his mind. Damn that bastard! Sephiroth was being a mothering jerk, acting like Rufus couldn't take care of himself. A week ago he'd been released from the hospital after passing out in a bar, but it wasn't that a big deal. The man was acting like he was a fucking cancer patient who was going to go any second ( ... )

Albel followed Rufus out of Sephiroth’s office and right out of the Shinra building. He hated it when Rufus got like this because all it meant was more bother and hassle for himself and to be put bluntly, he couldn’t be bothered with it. It was just his luck when the rain started to pour endlessly and he cursed loudly as he realised he hadn’t had time to grab a jacket of any sort.

He contemplated yelling at Rufus and convincing him to turn back but before he knew it, Rufus had ducked into a doorway and Albel almost fell over as he span round to follow him in. “What the hell are you doing getting all pissy and storming off in the rain like that! You can at least give me time to catch up!” he half shouted at Rufus, hastily adding a “Sir”.
