it seems to me that the first lis is th elist of unlikely picks for me at least. I am most likely to pick form the second list only based on the names of the companies. I don't trust american companies:)
We just got a convertable (not a booster) FP Safe Voyage, which appears to be a knock-out of Britax Marathon, and it seems pretty good for the money (~$130). And, luckily, it's on the second list ;-) But it's good to have such a list because my son is going to overgrow the Roundabout I have in my car pretty soon :-(
