Oh, boys. That sucked (in a good way) in so many different ways. I rarely enjoy reading the cross-over stuff unless both of one set of brothers is around, but this worked, probably because of the underlying grief.

This is SO good! Both characters so compelling, so broken. Jensen works in a bar and has an ex who was tall like Sam and he takes it as a matter of course (his usual bad luck) when his bike gets stolen, and Sam falling into his life is so monumental he takes days off work (who wouldn't!) And Sam! It's Detroit so I wonder if he's just missed the boat with Lucifer? Did he lose Dean somehow? His first words to Jensen: "You didn't leave," like this is Sam on his own after (he thinks) Dean left him that horrible voice mail...oh god! Wonderful atmosphere, all the fear and foreboding, and Jensen just being overwhelmed and Sam's too-tight tee-shirt hiking up to reveal his hipbone -- I'm dead. THANK YOU for this!
