I haven't written anything in almost that long myself. I find it hard to write when I'm home for Christmass, weirdly. I have tons of free time, but I'm not on any normal schedule and so I have no discipline to write. But yeah, rewriting is almost harder than writing at times.

My roommate gave me a book of writing exercises for Christmas. One of the ones for characters that I really liked had you write "a view from a window--any window--as seen by a character who has just received some very good news or bad news. Have the specific news in mine, but don't mention it in the exercise. Don't even hint at it. The reader should be able to deduce the tenor of it, good or bad, simply from how you describe the view. The object here is to give the reader a sense of a character's internal life by relying on meaningful imagery alone.

I totally feels liks so much longer than that, simply because I was writing sooo much in November.

And I might have to work on that prompt, or maybe I will find the book of daily writing prompts that I have lying around somewhere....
