I don't even know what war they're fighting! Something that means they're losing senior officers. Something that can be run out of bases close to major population centres. Something that doesn't seem to have the general population alarmed or even aware of it.

I'm thinking restraint pending psychiatric assessment (because what she says she's been doing can't possible be true) possibly backed up by the threat of restraint in a psychiatric facility.
Not, I believe, a real our world possibility but I don't think that's where I'm playing here.
