Dude!! About the 400 level course: A - Your advisor doesnt know you; more importantly B - can't the avisors "no" be overruled (if you will) by the professor of the courses permission? Check into that, coz I had to do that in hell last year...
I'm not worried about the story, as long as it's in ur head ...it's safe!
