Well, that sucks

CBS went and pulled and axed CHAOS which, doesn't surprise me, but still makes me sad. I am hoping we'll be able to view the rest of the episodes shot either on cbs.com or they will release a dvd set. I bought all the episdoes that aired off amazon so I have that. I kind of went into the show knowing CBS wasn't behind it. No press, little ( Read more... )

They only aired two episodes, didn't they? I mean, that's not even enough time for word of mouth to get it out or anything. It really does sound like they gave up on it before it even started.

Everything you said re: TL fic, agreed. I know we've talked at length about it, but, still, fandom, really? These guys are what make TP for me - y'know, in that general and very shallow sense - and, okay, so I get that they're largely overshadowed by the drama and angst that are Sledge and Snafu, but still.

HEY, YOU'RE ON FOR A BIT RIGHT. This Chuckler/Runner thing is turning out longer than I anticipated, jsyk. I WANT YOU TO GET IT BEFORE YOU GO ANYWHERE.

Justified and the guys who did TBD, don't forget.

And I'm glad to hear that you got off pretty good with the storms. It's been on the news here, everything with the tornados!

Happy birthday to your mother also!

Three episodes, but, yes, really. They weren't even trying. And I mean, all of the ATL viewing audience was out on Friday, along with the good part of the South Eastern-viewing area, but CBS doesn't get that.

Seriously, like, I love Team Sledge, and everyone there, but Team Leckie is full of dark humor and sarcasm and an interesting team dynamic.

And yes, I am on for a long time. I have tomorrow off, so I'll be up all night.

Yes, seriously, Justified proves there is only one fandom. For reals.

And thank you!

Ugh, you'd think, at the very least, they'd just finish airing what they had. But, lol, revenue, right?

Agreed on all these points. I def have a soft spot for Team Sledge, but, it's just that TL- idk, they just appeal on so many levels. Sarcasm and dark humour, like you said, loads of good natured ribbing and EVERYBODY'S BACKS.

Yes! I'm just reaching the part where Runner's shirt inexplicably disappears.

There's a chance they might air the rest of the episodes during the summer, but seriously, I'll be happy with watching them online. As long as I can see them.

Team Leckie really does appeal on many levels. The shallow, all the skin in the world, and just, they seem some much more together and close-knit. In comparision our two favorite HBO mini-series, TL is the most Band of Brothers like in terms of what we see as the brotherhood connecions on screen. But seriously, let's just all write epic poetry to their backs.

Don't you just hate it when clothes just randmoly disappear ;) Damn laundry troll, they exist everywhere.

I've just spent the last 20min discovering how little there really is in regards to TL fic. There's a bit of Leckie/Hoosier, but that's like it. >____>

That is just so very sad. I'm going to finish watching this last bit of CSI Season 9, and then, then, there shall be ficlets, or something, that I can make a quick and dirty post of tomorrow/tonight/something.

Seriously, we need, like, a Team Leckie fic-a-thon one of these days.

Seriously, as soon as Fic for Victory is done, the rest of my fandom efforts will be in TL fic. Incl. that little project of ours.

The other half of my cmnt was to say that a TL fic-a-thon would be awesome... if I wasn't half convinced that it'll just me like, you and me, LOL OH GOD;;

And ficlets! Yes!

That is really messed up! I call bullshit! I may not watch much tv yet I generally know when most new shows are coming out as there is enough promotion for them to even trickle down to me and I've never heard of CHAOS. I'm sorry :( I knew how excited you were. Wow...even FOX let's the shows limp along for a while....

Glad to hear your mom had a good birthday!

It is so much bullshit. CBS didn't even try and give it a chance. Unless you actively watch a lot of CBS, you would have never known the show was coming out. Funny you should mention FOX, since they are the ones who own the DVD rights to the show. I am REALLY hoping they will release the complete series. But seriously, CBS, so much bullshit and hate right now. They set up the show to fail.

And thank you, she did!
