Also, I am very happy to hear there's more of the Hillbilly fanmix on the way, and I'm also amused by your progress on the AU. I love it when out of nowhere you find yourself writing something totally ridiculous - even if it never makes it into the final draft, it's still fun just producing it. (And, personally, I would love to see these Sheep-Pig jokes.)
And the idea of the great big sprawling Jones clan and the great big sprawling Welsh clan ever colliding, no matter how unlikely (and that's not even bringing in the Grogans, who I doubt are a small family in themselves), is going to keep me smiling for ages. Would there be enough alcohol in the country to keep them going?

I already had a Thanksgiving fic started where Eddie took Andy to the home front. Now thinking of poor Haldane is a sea of Joneses, Welshes, and Grogans is kind of make me get all evil glee-face.
Mix will come soon. Won't be fancy or anything b/c there are SO MANY SONGS, but it'll have a good bit of popular country on there. I can't help it, despite his Jimmy Buffet phase, "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" and "Big Star" Kenny Cheseny has a lot of deep and meaningful songs about lost loves and friends.
I'm not putting it in the current mix, but I'm debating over whether or not to use the original or a cover of "Bring 'Em Home" for how much war sucks mix. I just, yes, we should coordinate, with all the music in the world.
I will be evil and give you the letter "S." So many songs and only 5 slots.

"Brin 'Em Home" def. doesn't suit a WWII generation or mix. I tend to slant modern if I'm not doing bluegrass traditional. The Civil War songs make sense, b/c honestly, those probably held a ton more meaning for someone like Hillbilly Jones than some of the WWI songs.
The Thanksgiving fic is also sort of, "Oh, poor Andy, trying to find a polite way to ask if anyone has ever heard of birth control." Also, deep fried turkey. That's all I'm saying. Even though it's a Southern thing, some one in the Jones clan has to know about. Or lost their eyebrows to it.
