-WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME THE ALCS IS ON FOX TONIGHT! Look, I can't ever watch baseball up here, okay. I don't get ESPN or Fox Sports, or godforsaken TBS or YES or even NESN. I only get regular old Fox which means I haven't watched an actual baseball game that was NOT the Atlanta Braves since, like, some time in 2007. Do you know how much it sucks to ( Read more... )

What?? Jason is going to be in Game of Thrones?? First, Sean Bean, Lizzie Bennett and Lena Headley now...JASON? *dies*

I just finished reading the third book in the series last night, A Storm of Swords which is huge and epic and I've been reading for quite a while now. My book looks like it's been through a war which is odd, as I can read a paperback and not leave a spine crease - it's a skill.
Ahhhhh!!! Have you not seen me fangirling over the books and casting for the last few months?? That's the whole reason why I follow GRRM's LJ page!
Yes, they are worth your time. Rhaps mentioned them to me and technically it's fantasy but technically it's not. Quite good!

I've only seen the Lion King once through. Musafa's death is still much to bear.

Yes, I finally got Ever After a few months ago on DVD. Love. Win. Do I still have the ages old issue of Seventeen magazine which has Drew Barrymore in her Ever After ball dress on it that came which 2 Ever After postcards? I may or may not have.

Yup, Jason is going to play "Khal Drogo" apparently. Whoever that is. I did not know Sean Bean will be in it too, so know I def. have to watch it and read it. I remember reading an article about Sean Bean and HBO but...whoops.

And I vaguely remember one of your squees but I need to be hit over the head with book reccs or else I just float back over to all my history books. I prefer fantasy in my fic books, so that part works for me.

Musafa's death almost killed me the first time, and well, still does everytime since, but I just love the music and the art of the film so much that I just watch it over and over again. It is probably my favorite of all animated disney films.

DUDE! I still have those Ever After postcards. One is still taped up on the mirror in my old room and one is in a memory box. I am so glad to know I am not the only one who remembers those postcards.

*SCREAM!!* Oh my gosh really?? That should be a good run while it lasts :D
A whole lot of respected and talented people are lined up for the series. Oh God, I know HBO doesn't scrimp on the good stuff, anything, so it should good. Dear Lord, let it be good.

The books are a mix of fantasy and political and medieval style drama - right up your alley.

Musafa's death was traumatic - I would get up and go outside and away from the house every time my friends and I rewatched The Lion King. Musafa was my Bambi's mother, mhhm!

LOL! *hug* It's so nice to not feel like a freak alone :D

And HBO will devote the money, time, and resources that most sci-fi/fantasy mini-series/tv shows need to be decent. They're shooting in the UK, so we know it's going to be pretty landscape wise. I saw some of the cast, and while normally so many well known name would worry me, it's HBO and it's what they do, and they do it well. I'm just so happy we are going to see Jason in another show, b/c I really do love him, and while yes he is pretty to look out (there are rumors of him having a nude scene) I honestly believe he is a much more talented actor than we ever got to see on SGA ( ... )

Everyone told me Where The Wild Things Are movie was really sad. I still want to see it though, because I also freaking LOVED the book as a child.

Well, to be fair, the book isn't exactly the happiest story in the world, and I think that's why I loved it so much. It's good to know it doesn't get a disney ending.
