I work with some bitter and angry people. I, luckily, made them shut the hell up when I said, "Can you just let go of that anger for one second and find some pride in the fact that America just did something no one thought us possible of doing. Can't you just be proud of the fact that for the first time in history someone who is not a WASP from the ( Read more... )

Seriously. Some people just need to realize that this is a historic event and that change is coming. Moving to Canada or wherever just because your candidate lost won't solve any problems. Granted, everything won't be fixed overnight. It can't be. But it can be done eventually.

ANTM ness...I could have swore that they marked Elina as 19 (though she might have still been 18 at this time) and Tyra already knew this. Lol at her being shocked. I can't understand why McKey is there but I have a feeling she'll make it to the end. Marjorie needs confidence but I doubt she'll get it anytime soon. I knew Elina was going though being in the bottom two many times doesn't always guarantee elimination (yeah, Tyra, I'm still looking at the end of Cycle 10 here)!

I really want to know how people against Obama's platform think their views will mesh in Canada. You know, with the gay marriage and the national healthcare and the abortion allowance. The problems aren't going to be solved over night, they are not even going to be solved in the next decade, but someone needs to start making the changes so the problems will be solved and that's what bringing new views into the government does. And seriously, can we not put aside the politics for a moment and just embrace the history? /rant.

McKey is most likely going to be there until the end. Everyone seems to love her, though I don't really see it. Ah, Cycle 10, Whitney, this is true. She was in the bottom two a lot. I must have put it out of my mind. ::gags::

I'm amused that those people want to leave America for another country. Most of the people from the other countries (that I've seen so far) are going "YAY, OBAMA!" Hell, my cousin said they are still celebrating in India. Seriously, embrace the historical moment!

I don't see it with McKey either. I hate her makeover (I thought she looked better before with red hair) and I want Whitney to fall into an oblivion. Oh well, Kata is in Greece and Anya made it to Hong Kong and both are slowly making their careers there. Mwuahahaha!

That's okay; y'all (in one of the few times I use that word) are only getting cards from me. Admittedly, cards that are drawn and matted but still cards. I don't have much time for anything else unfortunately.

Congrats on the new President and on the huge participation of the people! I don't know what will happen but at least the whole world got rid of Bush!

Christmas presents? It's too early for me, besides it seems more like spring than autumn around here! Still I should follow your example since I always shop at the last minute!

Nima

Hi Nima,
Whatever will happen, we got a change, and that's a much needed start.

I just like to get them out of the way so I don't have to worry about getting through Dec and Jan with limited funds. I still tend to do last minute shopping, b/c I always forget somebody.

Hope your family is well and work hasn't been too much.

Love,
Shannon
