Classes start again tomorrow. I am not happy. Still working on proposal. Almost done, but I want to gather some more articles. I also need to do some editing. I've got most of my problems with tense, passive voice, and posession down but now I need to strike out a good bit of words. I'm verbose. Sometimes this is good, sometimes this is bad. I'm beginning to think it's a right of passage for all aspiring British actors to do a period piece.
Billie was fine in it, but I'm evil so I just kept waiting for her chaviness to break through >_<
Mansfield Park always makes me a bit uncomfortable cause it's most probable that the place would not have existed without slave labor, but, such is history esp. British history so what can you do? Just the nasty invisible undercurrent in their lovely gentile world. But still...bleh.
SO looking forward to Miss Austen Regrets!

Harmony was just fun. A nice light episode. Oddly enough McShep always reminds me of the interaction fanfic authors always writes between Glorfindel and Ecthelion...hmm...*cough*

I actually like that Mansfield Park is, kind of, deeper, so to speak. But yeah it is one of those "This isn't right, but they thought it was right for them, but it isn't right in general so what do we do?" It's a problem you always run into with history, trying to be objective and all. Which means that while you must say Thomas Jefferson was awesome, you must also say he owned slaves, and then you get screamed out from both sides of the camp ( ... )
