Jesus. I do use bone meal, or have. I also take chondroitin + glucosamine, and the glucosamine is made from rendered beef cartilage.

But the FDA wants to forbid cattlemen from testing all their slaughtered cows, because it sets a bad example...

Rinse out your eggshells and either put them in the compost or keep them separate & grind them up for sprinkling.

Not that I grow roses -- my garden isn't sunny enough for roses even if I thought they were worth the hassle.

Oooh, thank you! I'm actually not interested in most of these books, but I love the reviews. Well, I just plain love a good review. :D Very helpful.

Wow, thanks so much for the info. I knew how TSE works(I'm a microbiologist), but the potential for contaminated bone meal fertilizer isn't something I'd heard of. I'll be forwarding the info to all of my gardening friends.

Thanks for the reviews. A review is an amazing thing; wish I could write them myself.

Had about the same response to Franken you did. Was about twice as long as I needed it to be, though the partner tells me that reading it after going to hear him made it feel less lengthy to her.
