(1) my beloved iBook, possibly because of hardware damage caused by my indiscriminate use of the hard restart; (2) my Palm Pilot, making me think that I'll just go back to a paper address book; and (3) the TV-entertainment-industrial complex, twice, victim of apparently faulty wiring.

Oh, we should be together and just consolidate this cluster fuck. Although I'm snarkily amused that your Palm went South because you were turning into gadget girl.

BTW, bought a squeaky mouse for William, thinking it would cheer him up. He batted at it twice, then laid down on it and took a snooze. I think that means he likes is. But that's about all the playing he ever does. I wasn't surprised when the Fig stole it.

*checks prices* My goodness. The next time I see one of her earlier books used, I'm definitely picking it up. For resale if for nothing else.

I read one of her books, but can't remember which, if it ever got published. It *may* have been Steal the Dragon. Thought it was a fun but (um) forgettable popcorn fantasy with decent characterization.

And now that I've looked at the Amazon descriptions again, I think it was When Demons Walk.

She has not been blessed with wonderful titles.
