I like this story on decision fatigue, if for no other reason than that it makes me feel justified in eating the same thing day after day-I’m saving up willpower!-and as a bonus offers a reason to eat when I want to improve my decisionmaking.

I really liked that article on decision fatigue. I already knew that I was cranky and made lousy decisions at the end of the day and when I hadn't eaten for a while. But now I feel vindicated by science ;).

I had to drink a coke just to get through that article, but thanks for sharing it. I'm fascinated by studies like this, and have only read a little about them, enough to know some background. Especially with dog training--my dogs have to perform long sits and downs, three and five minutes respectively, with owners out of sight in another building. It's an enormous test of will power, and we never know if we should feed them before or after they go into the ring. It also explains my lack of desire for any decision making in the fourth hour and a half class of my day, where I just sit and stare at the students and vaguely hope they're okay.
