Of genetically engineered killer bats.

Sorry, but that tag line for a new SciFi Channel movie just got me. I mean, I'm a person who went to see Species because the tag line was something like, "For ten thousand years, humans have been at the top of the food chain.

Everything changes."

Try Sedaris' Naked. My reaction to "Dinah, The Christmas Whore" made my upstairs neighbor ask later, "Were you okay last night at one AM?"

Holidays on Ice is one of my favorite things to give as a Hanukkah gift.

Hmm. Barrel Fever didn't impress me, though it did survive the great purge of '02. But this book of essays was so funny that I expect I will be reading the rest of his work.

Great icon, by the way.

You know...I've never tried it. Bookstore staff warned me off it, while shepherding me to the stacks of other Sedaris works.

david sedaris is the loveliest essayist ever! as i've said before, no one else could describe being trapped in a bathroom with a piece of turd the size of a burrito with such heart and humor. he puts words to emotions, thoughts, and experiences i never knew i had until i read his books and feel the tingling rush of recognition. i marvel, i laugh, and suddenly i feel less alone.

Oh, I love David Sedaris and that is one of my favorite essays of his. Was it his reading of it that made you lol?

No, I read it in print. I listen to music at the gym -- I've never been too good at books on tape, and that way I can do three things at once, an otherwise impossible task for me. I'm the stereotypical girl who can't both walk and chew gum at the same time.

I'm not the greatest fan of books on tape either, but his delivery is so deadpan it *really* is great. Just in case you're curious and would like to hear it I have the mp3 and could zip and e-mai it to you.

bye :)
