You've probably read more books in the last two weeks than I have since the beginning of the year, and you retain all that information... I'm envious. I also seem to keep collecting fiction books that I can't read until I'm not writing anymore. I have them hidden because the temptation is too great.

Yes, well, I am defiantly not writing. This leaves much time for reading. Which is too bad, because I need to write to keep my job. That's my summer project.

Still thinking about the chapter. I have no major comments; I think it's interesting and does a good job of making the reader ask, "Who are these people? This is obviously all related, but how?" I'm a little unclear on whether the GiB was dying before she got hit, but maybe I'm supposed to be.

The GiB? (I am not cute when I look clueless.)

Heh, heh. Good! As long as it snares the interest, I'm good to go (though I've attacked eight different paragraphs for being worded badly or saying with 12 words what could've been said in five... and so it goes.

Would you be interested in seeing subsequent chapters when they're completed?

Girl in Black -- I hesitated over that one, I admit. I guess I'd rather be obscure than easy to understand. Blame the academic in me. I would very much like to see later chapters. And I will think about more detailed commentary.

I love Keegan's prose style. I am such a fan girl of his.
