Eight Crazy Nights 8 (part 3)

My Onion horoscope, which knows of my writing woes: Crackling with the warmth of the season, a yuletide fire will quickly consume your helpless flesh.

For giandujakiss: I want to know what happened after the last two things in your Three Answers story. Either one, or both, will do!

The look he gave Cain was - Cain thought, in time, he’d be able to give it a name.

He thought he wanted to stay long enough to do so.

YAY. I love the potential, the hint that the damage will heal, and people will be happy again. Thank you!

At least it's nice to think so! Thanks for reading.

What Nestra said. Lovely, and also SO much better than the mini itself. I could totally get behind some good fandom-appropriated Tin Man retconning. Plus, Alan Cumming! Neal McDonough!

Thanks for this.

I gotta say, I am hugely intrigued by Askadellia. Despite the absurd spelling. I want to know what happens to her.

Thanks! I can't exactly recommend N/T, but it is a guilty pleasure if you can stand it.

Not only are there annotations, they disagree.

Also, your icon: so true.

Yeah, there's really no chance Christian's not going to fuck this one up. You'd think he would have learned after the rousing start he got with Escobar, but I doubt it.

Thanks for reading!

“Sorry, sorry!” she said, flipping through the pages. “This is pretty heavily annotated …”

YAY! there are annotations, of course, and appropriation of Sam's role and Dean with a partner Sam could be really jealous of -- and here I'm imagining Rabbi Simcha on the road with Dea, and it makes me smile.

Let his son and daughter breed hybrids, if they so chose. Lex had made something pure.

Lex breeding pure Kryptonian children to raise is an awfully disturbing idea, but my resolute sense of optimism about him refuses to see a completely bleak future. He's going to be a good father, despite the eugenics program and historical obsession with maintaining dynasties... I hope.

Buffy patted Willow’s neck. “I know,” she said, thinking about all the girls who were going to be able to choose for themselves how they wanted to save the world.

This raised a tiny lump in my throat, as Buffy is sometimes able to. I love her when she's mature and silly and -- she's one of those "her pain is my pain" characters.

Rabbi Simcha, rogue hunter! It's a fun thought. She'd be nagging Dean to convert and meet some nice Jewish doctors.

I think Lex would be an awesome father; it's the rest of the world that needs to worry.

And I miss Buffy's world -- my love is generalized, not really all that specific to her, because they're all so wonderful. Though honestly Willow and Xander are probably greater favorites of mine.

Can you see how appalled she would be at seeing Dean's diet? He needs someone, though a golem and sweater are almost as good!

and Buffy... Giles is still my favoritest character, but Joss has indoctrinated me: Buffy's pain is my pain, and it has made a startling effect when I watch the show.

--your eight day fic festival was really fun. I had a lot of fun reading and thinking about your stories as I avoided thinking about my essays. yay you.

I can totally see Dean constantly quoting Pulp Fiction at her: "Bacon tastes good... pork chops taste good."

I'm glad you enjoyed the experiment. I don't know if I'll do the same thing next year, but it was certainly a bracing experience.
