I read it when my Future of Fandom was about 14 (she's 17 now), then gave it to her and asked her opinion. She gave it four stars for "a grownup who actually knows what's going on with kids". She was *very* impressed -- she thought it most authentic and bullshit-free.
I think boys need to know the stuff in there at least as much as girls do, so definitely yes, read it and give it to Uberkid if/when he's at that age.
It's aimed at parents of daughters, but since a lot of what goes on in middle school is organized around boys -- not for their benefit, but as a way of managing relationships between girls -- it might be good in a few years if you want to talk to him about what's going on in girls' heads.
