PSA for Washingtonians: The Library of Congress Professionals Association is having a book sale in the Jefferson Building. Today paperbacks are $.50 and hardcovers $1; tomorrow it's a bag for a buck. I loved The Girl Who Owned A City with a mad passion as a kid, and even have the original edition, but I've been afraid to reread it.

It might be better to leave the memories as they were. If I find an original edition, I'll buy it, because I can't believe the changes were for the better.

My copy's from 1977...and yes, the sexual tension is very vague, but it's there.
