Not really comedy tonight, but the line was too good to pass up.

thanks for this link -- very much what i was thinking about in all this discussion, as i have been doing an increasing amount of writing (professionally) about child sex abuse, despite not being a survivor of it myself. i'd argue that helping someone begin to put together their memoirs, including their childhood abuse, wouldn't automatically qualify me to write about that as a protagonist, but then again not having done that would hardly disqualify me from being able to do it well.

and, in a vote for WORST ad ever to appear next to this story, mine came up with a half-naked torso for Ralph Lauren underwear. (ah, that link will just take you to where the ad would take you to, not the ad itself, which won't reload for me. but you get the point.)
