I never bothered with Torchwood after Day Four of COE. What was the point? I much prefer character driven stories, and, like you said, why bother when RTD just kills them off?

I've been away from LJ since forever, I know. Mostly online these days all I seem to be good for is being sarcastic on Twitter! And not really in any fandoms now: it's odd, but Torchwood broke something in me about fannish everything, and I have never engaged in the same way since, or wrote much of anything. The BBC have just put both the 'real series of TW on the iPlayer (and the two that I won't touch with a pole), and I've been - to my surprise - super enjoying watching each ep properly, no skipping (OK apart from Random Shoes, that's mostly still rubbish!) Just finished S1 last night. Having not been back in a decade, I'm super enjoying my rewatch - visually, with hindsight, everything. I don't think it's going to make me fan-like again! But I am loving drinking it all in, in splendid isolation.

I did move on. Haven, Loki, and my old standby Harry Potter. I've written a bit. I'm currently working on a long (for me) Loki fic. But I do think TW will always be my fave. SO much potential there.
And I agree about Random Shoes. I saw it once. Yuck!
Otherwise, I'm well. Just getting older, which sucks! LOL!
