You are not saving energy by leaving the fucking salmon out on the counter top so that it "can cool down" before it goes into the refrigerator. It's possibly still in the 90s out right now; the fridge will inevitably have to work a little harder than normal, a slab of warm salmon meat in there or no ( Read more... )

Well mom called him on his dumb early enough so it's fine. "Where's the salmon?"
"In a bag."
"Where... is the bag?"
"On the counter cooling off."
Us: WTFF IS WRONG WITH YOU??? AGAIN.

Last time, he left burger patties in a bag in the SINK. THE SINK. I didn't find them until midnight that night, and I'd figured they were dead so I left them for Mom to discover and sigh in dismay. She argued they might have been salvageable when I'd found them, but I wasn't gonna be the one to test that idea so I didn't bother.

Because apparently a slab of hot meat is going to PUT THE LARGE FRIDGE INTO SUPER COOLING MODE AND WE'LL LOSE POWER IN THE WHOLE NEIGHBORHOOD or it'll add like 0.3 cents to our electric bill. BUT MAKE SURE TO WASTE THAT SAVED ENERGY and put the meat in a 5 cent Ziplock and not a REUSABLE Tupperware.

Well the meat had already been grilled and we'd eaten most of it, so the left-over was like... BARELY above outside temperature by the time we got to it and questioned his intelligence.

BUT YES TOTAL GENIUS AND WE'RE WOMEN SO WE'RE NOT WORTH LISTENING TO. He's a closet sexist X| In many things he respects what we say but when it comes to us actually knowing better, OH HELL NO THAT'S IMPOSSEROUS!!
