This feels exactly like entry into UBC again. I apply to the institution, they turn me down but give me conditional acceptence. Just when I think I have not gotten into the instiution, they accept me. Yes, Sean says I have the NSERC although it is not official yet. We are meeting in April to discuss the project. Good job on the NSERC! Life is bittersweet isn't it? I would still apply for your other jobs though as it still sounds tentative. And it sounds cool if you turn a job down because well you have an NERC. If you do a 448 with Mary we may cross paths during our projects as she was gung-ho about being my supervisor for my "integrating research to undergraduate education" project

I highly dislike school much of the time. I hate tests and papers. I do like aspects though...like long tangents with profs. Right now I am considerably excited..because Carl Wiemen is coming to do education initiatives in science at UBC: http://www.publicaffairs.ubc.ca/media/releases/2006/mr-06-032.html (...maybe I could talk to him for ideas for my 448 project.)

I also was suckered into being a biker for storm the wall yesterday night (really last minute eh?). I have always wanted to storm the wall and now I can!!!

I have to talk to FOWL. I said I "MIGHT" be interested in Storm the Wall and they put me on the team even though I haven't talked to them for two weeks. We shall see.
