"without you it's a waste of time..."

All of the teasing dies on my lips, as he places one hand on my waist and the other in my right hand. Tentatively, I place the other on his shoulder, not firmly, but barely touching the surface of his shirt as though he couldn't bare the weight of my touch. I was over at a friend's from work's house and she mentioned the boy and she's having a party in a few months and I think he might be there and part of me almost doesn't want to go. Because when I see him again I want there to be this like, transformation and for him to be like damn I want that. I don't know why this made me think of that but it did.

How are you? How is everything? When do you come home?

Is this the Indian guy from work? I totally understand what you mean, wanting to transform beforehand. But transformation or no, hard as it is for girls like us, you should go!

Good... crazy, incapable of believing that I will be home in about 5 weeks time! Work is the same old drama (I can't escape it) but otherwise everything is great. I'm running around trying to squeeze in as much as I can before I leave to go North to Arica in two weeks. I'm getting a little sad already to leave my friends and the kiddos, but at the same time excited to come home for a bit before flying off to the next thing, whatever that will be. Anyway, I will be home August 8. Take care, sweetie and I will talk to you soon!
