Right, so, an update would be nice.

Well, I got all my Christmas shopping done, finally & sent out my packages on Monday. The lines weren't too bad, only five people ahead of me, so that was nice. & now I'm on a twisted parody of a holiday, so I'm quite happy right now! I'm SO glad to have my time off - there's going to be lots of bubble baths, ( Read more... )

That's a shame about Daniel changing =( I prefer Daniel pre-Ascension (But that might have something to do with.. you know... only having seen a handful of episodes of the later seasons) Thought I'm still angsting over the OMG WHY DID HE HAVE TO DIIIIIE? *sobs*

I have to admit, I prefer Daniel before he ascended as well - it's kind of ironic in its own way, but I think after he de-ascended, he lost what innocence he had left - admittedly, it does/did/I don't know which helped make him a lot stronger & able to do what was necessary to save his team - I think one of the biggest things he got out of losing that innocence was the fact that he's now become more able to sacrifice one thing for the greater good - or something to that effect, it's late & I'm so poor at meta-ing on Daniel. ::giggles:: But I think I love pre!Ascended!Daniel the most because he's the side of Daniel I relate to the best & just see more of myself in. Something like that. ::winks::

& whee, enjoy the song! It's so lovely & quite Daniel-esque.

I think he's much more lovable pre-Ascension! Not that he isn't lovable after ascension... but you know *shrugs* I guess I'll be able to make a better judgment when I actually get that far in the series.

It's a cool song. Very whimsical like...

I totally agree - he's more whimsical & ethereal & that's part of why I've always been so drawn to him - I still like him post-ascension, but not QUITE as much as I did before - but like I said, that could be because I have Cameron & Vala to flail over.

I'm glad you like it! It's so pretty.

Oh... *whew* I so totally thought I was the only one who saw the difference in Daniel in the last 2 seasons - AND the only one whose Daniel fangirlishness is cooling just a wee bit. I still luff the guy to pieces in the earlier seasons, but...well he does seem more jaded/warrior-like, etc. now. I miss the little cutie from the earlier seasons. *points to avatar*

S9 was pretty different - and not just the eps that intro'd Cam (he does seem a tad Dean Winchester-ish...hee) and Vala. Just didn't get a whole lot of a team feeling in most of it, not as many sweet lil friendship moments as there were in the past. Tho' I did squeee in tones only dogs could hear at the teeny tiny Sam/Daniel moments like in Arthur's Mantle... *squees again*

Speaking of which, have you seen the Sam/Daniel Bingo Card?
