I love Oscar Wilde! Especially his (no pun intended) fairy tales. You've read our Julia's story "The Stump and the Butterfly," right? That story reminded me so much of Wilde's "The Selfish Giant" and "The Happy Prince." I can send you links to read them online if you aren't familiar with them. Bring tissues.
But aside from the fairy tales, the Wilde quote you posted is one of my favorites. The gutter isn't so bad if one has friends to share it with!
I would love the links! I just found this quote tonight at a local Barnes&Noble and fell in love with it. I still haven't read anything of Wilde's but plan on reading "The Picture of Dorian Grey" at some point....those links would be a great start! Thanks! :)
PS: I still have to read "The Stump and the Butterfly"...*hides*
I'm actually not familiar with any of his stuff. But I'm looking forward to becoming familiar! And he seems fascinating. :) PS: Love your "Cheshire Cat" icon.
Forty?!?! Wow, I'm really impressed!!...could you possibly summarize it a bit for me, so I know what I'm getting myself into, without giving too much of it away? I'd really appreciate it!! :)
