I swear, the amount of fuss Cathedral Lettings is putting us through for this house is unheard of, not to mention fucking extortionate. We negotiated a rent of £560 a month between two tenants over an initial six month contract. Landlord said fine, we came in, signed up and put money down (£470 from me, £280 from Annie). Blech. It sounds like that house might not be worth the trouble. Maybe y'all could get a smaller place to start with?

Mmm, I think now it's gotten to the point where we're both thinking "This is just not worth the hassle", but at the same time, we've sunken a scary ammount of cash into it that probably wouldn't be refundable (admin fees and holding deposit specifically). Plus, if we don't move out now, it's not really going to be worth it before Annie has to move *again* in April. She stressed *big time* when I explained that our moving in date might be affected. I just can't afford a place by myself but I really don't want to get sucked into another house share with people I've never met before.

I clubbed together with Mum on the ridiculous cash bond, which means I'm broke, but at least we can still move in tomorrow.
