I've downlaoded this twice, but after both attempts, I can't get it to open in Windows Media Player or VLC. Any suggestions?

Argh. I checked that the final version of vid played normally before I uploaded it, and once I'd uploaded it I checked that I could download it full. I didn't then check that the downloaded version of the file played normally. Which clearly it doesn't, because now that I've tried I just get an error message.

*But* the problem should now be rectified. I've re-uploaded, and tested the resulting download and lo it is playing happily once more.

Thank you so much for pointing this out to me. If you could confirm whether the new file I've uploaded works for you I'd be extremely grateful.

Fear not, it's now working. I'm about to watch it, so yay.

Well, that was great. I never realised how much this show parallels itself visually (I had noticed it, but not to that extent). The matching of action and so forth was great and tied some characters and arcs together that weren't actually that well tied on the show itself.

I'm going to rec this in my lj once I get around to posting, by the way.

Same here...the full extent of some of the visual parallels didn't strike me until I was actually vidding them, so it was pretty cool finding them all, and they were heaven to vid.

I'm going to rec this in my lj once I get around to posting, by the way.

Thank you for the feedback and the rec. And bearing with me through the technical hitch.

I'm really pleased that you liked it - thank you for telling me so! The parallels were great to discover, and to vid.

This video was highly recommended in the Television Without Pity VM forums. I'm so glad I found it - it's one of the best videos I've ever seen. I loved the editing and the parallels within the show that you found. Thank you!

Thank*you* for the feedback, and for letting me know it's been linked to from the TWoP forums (where I do post occasionally). I'm seriously flattered that you liked it so much!

I'm having trouble viewing it as a Real Player video. Is there some way you can upload it as a Windows Media Player?

Hi :-)

It's not specifically encoded for Real Player (it's an avi file) and should play fine on WMP if you have the right codecs installed - it's encoded with the Xvid MPEG-4 codec. If you download and install the zip file available at the bottom of this page, I think the vid should play in WMP with no problems.

Hope this helps!
