Reminds me of a story my ex told me, where his Japanese class had to pair up and act out a "shopkeeper and customer" scene, where they'd practice asking for certain items that were on a list. My ex was supposed to ask for "towels", but when his turn came up, he forgot and instead used the next word on the list, which was "condoms". So his convo went like:
ex: Do you know where I can find the "kondomu"... oh shit... his partner: "kondomu"? What's kondomu? *teacher/other students are laughing their asses off* ex: Stop saying it!
He then later told me that had he skipped over 'condoms' and went to the next word, he'd have been asking for tampons XD
