Dr. Who!

Thank You Sci-Fi (why they are calling it "syfy" is beyond me) for putting on a Dr. Who marathon all day today. :-)

"SyFy" = worst repackaging move ever

Doctor Who marathon = the exact opposite

Must turn tv on!!!!!!!!!!!! That rocks, thanks for the heads up! I just can't wait to find the Torchwood miniseries on tv. BBC America was supposed to be airing it soon but my box hasn't been able to find the listing yet. :(

apparently, coming off the best ratings in their 16 year history the CEO decided to alienate it's already loyal fanbase by calling them names and pointing out their flaws and having the channel completely trying to disassociate itself from them.

not cool.

i don't know if in the long run it will really be a smart move for the channel, kind of like the woman's lib movement that tried to have the global spelling of Woman changed to Womyn to remove 'man' from the word. Come on, you can't separate one from the other. I just think saying SyFy really doesn't make much of a difference over saying Sci-Fi; uh, essentially it is the same thing- Still, i guess he had to justify his existence somehow.
