Happy Halloween!
A few things will begin this week! Hopefully everyone will want to participate. :)
Rivelata is beginning to get pretty festive! To light your way through the dense fog, jack-o-lanterns that seem to glow at all times have popped up on the streets. More decorations will show up as the month goes on. There are also a few other interesting things showing up...
Beginning this week, and going on throughout the rest of the month, at the beginning of every week, people will receive a special orange and black(or black and orange, if you prefer) wrapped package at their doorsteps. If they live with more than one person, there will be more than one package, with their names on said package.
This package will contain a costume of the mun's choosing. Feel free not to wear it! But the costume will continue showing up! Burn it? Oh, it'll be right back on your bed. If you continue to refuse to wear it...well, it'll end up on your bed with a sign that says "Wear me. :(" When you put the costume on, something odd occurs--if you're a witch, for instance, that hooked nose becomes real and yes, you get the green skin. Vampire? Real fangs! Werewolf? Fur!
However, they can be removed just like any costume--a tug on the real witch nose will turn it right back into a fake nose, the fangs can be pulled out of your mouth without injury, and the giant werewolf head can be removed without any horrible decapitation.
Included with your packages every week will be a smaller package containing a delightful array of candy! Each type of candy creates a different effect. Here is a list, for reference:
Various hard candies → will change hair color based on the flavor.
Giant lollipops → will change the character into a child. Yes, the costume will shift to fit the new, tiny person. This candy will obviously have no effect on children.
Candy necklaces/bracelets → Of various colors. If two characters happen to be around one another and share the same bracelet/necklace, they are from that point on stuck together. They cannot be more than ten feet away from each other for 2 days(48 hours).
Cupcakes! → with black and orange frosting. Based on the type of personality, these cupcakes will give a person who eats them either a glowing halo and tiny fuzzy wings, or a functional devil tail and a pair of tiny horns. For instance, Nill might get a glowing halo, and Jan Valentine would get the horns and tail. c:
Taffy → will make emotions far more evident: if you're angry, you may actually change red and steam from the ears in a cartoonish fashion, sadness will change you blue, etc.
With the exception of the candy necklace/bracelet, the length of these spells can last up to a week, until the second round of costumes and candy is given out, and so on. These treats are also mixed with completely normal candy(and taffy apples.)
Lastly, what is Halloween without ghosts? For the next few weeks, spirits will show up in Rivelata--but they are very familiar. These are the ghosts of people that have disappeared, died or otherwise have been lost during their stay in Rivelata. To sum things up: the ghosts of dropped characters. These ghosts will remember their stay in Rivelata, but they will not know they're ghosts.

The ghosts for this round will stay for one week at which point they will disappear and be replaced by a new set of ghosts. If the six slots are filled before you have a chance to jump in, you will be placed on next week's list.
