WHO: Batman's Rescue Group and the captives WHAT: The rescue party has finally arrived! But what will it take to free the captives and escape? WHERE: The caves beneath the waterfall WHEN: Day 27 (AKA the neverending day)
Nodame stood, stunned, and surprised. The scene breaking out in front of her eyes seemed surreal. The rescue team despite the troubles and dangers made it all this way to find them and help them.
She really didn't recognize anyone--except for a few she conversed through the journals. She was excited and happy despite the confusion. "Nodame's so happy to see that you guys made it here safely!" She clasped her hands together with a bright smile.
Though it did worry her how the guards weren't around since their own attempt at trying to escape. Maybe it was a good thing! Or bad. She wasn't sure, and she didn't want to think of the worst possibility her mind presented for a moment.
Rescuing the captives was the most crucial and final part of their mission- heck, it was the only reason why they were all gathered together under the circumstances. Yet while there had been several obstacles along the way to prevent them from reaching the cave, when they were finally here, nothing but the bars stood in their way. Which was strange, because why bother to stop them before and not do anything now? Usually, when it came to the last moments that would decide which side was to be victorious, the enemy would have prepared an interference of a larger scale.
The guards were either very- overly- confident in the strength of the bars, or they had another trick up their sleeves. In response to Batman's words, Gokudera reached for his dynamite, but a familiar voice calling out his name caught his attention. Stepping forward, the tough expression on his face dissolved into that of tremendous glee instantly as his eyes fell upon the sight of Tsuna. How long had it been

[OOC: Dynamite works just fine... only problem is, it won't break the bars anyway-- they're magical. Basically, nothing in anyone's arsenal can destroy/break them. The mod should probably alert us sometime tomorrow or the day after of what we might have to do to free them, if we don't figure it out ourselves by then.]
Rika looked up at Renamon as she spoke, listening quietly. “Yeah. I suppose not, huh.” She looked over at the captives, a frown crossing her lips as they all seemed to decide they were going to try dynamite, now. Hopefully the cave wouldn’t collapse around them…. Hopefully someone had thought of that, aside from her.
“When this is over with, Renamon, we’re going to go back to the house,” She refused to call it home, as home was where her mother was probably bawling her eyes out, “And we’re not getting involved anymore.” She’d had enough heart attacks for the day, thank you very much.
A soft smile crossed Miranda’s features as she felt Rosa place her hand over her own. She covered Rosa’s hand with her other free hand, letting her journal rest in her lap. “T-that’s okay, Rosa… We’re allowed to hope for things like that, right?“ She squeezed Rosa’s hand softly. “I’m sure… he’s waiting, out in the village…”
It was all Miranda could think of to make her feel better. Looking up at Rikku, she gave another small, hesitating smile. She was just so happy, to finally be able to get out of here. Cross was safe, and so was the rest of his team, and now they could just go… back to the city.
Miranda couldn’t even remember the last time she’d felt the sun on her skin. The longer she’d been trapped here, the greater Rikku’s idea of just laying out at the beach in the sun sounded. Where it was warm, and relatively dry if you weren’t in the water… She couldn’t wait. She wanted to get out of here, with everybody who could(Rhode did not count. Miranda preferred to pretend the girl was not there), and have everybody reunited with

The sound of the resulting explosion made Zidane look around in surprise; he couldn't help it, keeping watch meant he wasn't paying attention to what was happening behind with the dynamite.
And when the smoke cleared... nothing. There wasn't a great hole blasted in the bars like he'd expected-- from the distance he was at, they didn't even look damaged. Was there some kind of barrier protecting them...?
Now Renamon and Rika had joined him, he supposed he could at least allow himself a moment to see the rest of what was going on. He looked past the prisoners, past a few worn, tired, but familiar faces (was that Tsuna?) to the crystal. So it was true, and there was one. If the stone was anything like the magical stones back home, it'd have power. Maybe it was the thing stopping them breaking in.
Well, whatever. He'd focus on his own self-appointed task. This team had proven themselves to be competent enough, and he trusted them to figure things out.
