Roxas had made his way under the overhang of a nearby boat house as his journal became too damp to write in. While a little annoying, at least the rain wasn't really cold

By now, Nill was used to people leaving and returning with no memories of before. So, while it was still a strange experience, she found it a little easier to set aside the thought for now.
She nodded as she stretched her hand out to close her small fingers around his hand. It wasn’t raining too bad, but she still held her umbrella a little higher, holding it forward slightly so Roxas was at least a little covered from the rain, as well. It wasn’t quite big enough to fit the both of them, but Nill was fine with getting her wings a little wet

Roxas forgot all about holding her hand as they started toward the city. He tried to walk close enough to her so that he'd stay dry under the umbrella, but far enough away so that he wasn't invading her personal space. The result was Roxas walking a bit awkwardly and trying not to draw attention to it.
As if he wasn't acting strange enough, Roxas kept casting glances at Nill's back, staring at her wings in awe. He tried his best to keep his attention on the world around them, not only because he needed to learn the layout of this place, but because it was also very rude to stare.
"Thanks for helping me out," He smiled at her again, trying to fill the silence with conversation. "Not just for showing me around, but for explaining all that stuff before. I'd be pretty lost without that." He chuckled.
She noticed. If only because she was already used to people giving her odd looks for the wings on her back, or that conversations always grew silent and awkward quickly -- but this was most of the time with people new to the island. And... well, she hadn't ever met someone on the island who thought she was some sort of weirdo, or ... nuisance, for her wings or for the lack of voice. Which she appreciated the most out of the island.
So after a few minutes, Nill did cast a bit of a confused look at Roxas. She tilted her head to the side, blinking up at him as she did so. When he spoke, the puzzled expression faded into a smile, and Nill stood up straight again. She shook her head as if to say she didn't need to be thanked.
Nill had become so accustomed to writing on Iggy's palm(she spent most of her time with him, anyways, that it was second nature) that doing the same to Roxas didn't click that it was probably an odd thing to do -- at least yet. was new once too She wrote, and only then realized that Roxas might not even get it, or
