"I've decided that I will be quite put out if someone decides to burn down my shop again," she said pointedly. "And attitudes toward us at the moment are...simmering on the back burner, at best."
Why, yes, she did remember that bizarre food metaphor he'd made a while back. She knew just how to play her cards.
"I'm just making sure nothing boils over."

"Easier said than done," she pointed out simply. "They're bottom-feeders, after all - good at hiding themselves amongst the rest of the trash."

It turned out their visitor was, according to scuttlebutt, arguably both. Or neither. No one really knew.
The Green Hornet lifted his hands to show they were empty. "Good evening." His usually harsh voice was a whisper for now. His eyes darted from beneath their masked concealment and across their night-ridden surroundings. "May I step in?"

She didn't know him, she didn't think, which probably meant he'd been interacting with Roy. So she simply examined him for a moment, decided he had no weapons readied for immediate use, and then stepped out of the doorway without a word, indicating that he could pass.
He might, however, have noticed something odd during that scrutiny - that her eyes glowed in the dark. Just subtly, but the effect was there: and it was an oddly flickering light they glowed with.

"Well, if it isn't the old Green Bee." he drawled, doing his best to recall all the details regarding the man who put him in contact with his best defense against Murder One. "Fancy seeing you again." What are you doing here, unheard, and a sidelong glance to Red said he's not a threat, yet.

Not yet, at least.
She took up a similar pose, propping one full hip against the countertop and leaning her weight against it. Her hands stayed free, though - and in a room full of weapons, that was enough defense for her.
It left her wondering, though - idle though it may have been - as to just who this character was, and what relation he had to Roy. As in, was this another potential plaything for her to amuse herself with?

She nodded at War as she entered the shop's grounds, smiling politely. "Most sincere congratulations."

Roy had been balanced up on the top shelf, there, and nevermind why - leaks in the ceiling, most likely, and not at all that he was knocking on the space to check for hollow bits under the roof. Thump. He was down now, see? All the better to half-mockingly greet a favored guest.
"And most humble thanks to you." Two fingers tapped to a slightly tilted forehead mimicked something like a bow or a salute, in bare minimum. "To what do I owe the pleasure?"
Yeah, he was in a good mood, and hey! His not to reason why.

But she wasn't War's type - there was something in the way she carried herself that made that obviously apparent, not to mention her flowery language - and so that cursory glance was really all the attention she got, at least for now.
She did keep an idle ear on the girl's interaction with Roy, though - perhaps there was something of interest to be had.

Ashe began to move around the store slowly, looking at the various specimens on display. "But you do seem to have good taste."

One look and he knew they wouldn't have what he wanted either...
Not even glancing at anyone else in the shop, the mercenary quickly went over the weaponry in the place. Bows, crossbows, blades of all shapes and sizes. Nothing he needed. At least this place had some decent slug throwers, unlike most places. Still, they didn't carry any kinds of power packs or anything like what he had always taken for granted as "standard" weaponry.
Well... looks like he'd just have to adapt. He supposed he should start by look at the pistols, they seemed to have the most abundant supply of ammo. A quick glance and he could tell which ones would be worthwhile getting and which were just useless.

He was certainly an interesting character, though, and one War might have to pay a little more attention to in the future. He'd done a quick once-over (she'd recognize that sort of appraisal anywhere), and then moved to the guns and done it again.
So he knew his way around the weaponry, did he? That was interesting - and possibly potentially useful. She'd keep that in mind for future reference: and perhaps, if he tarried much longer, see if she couldn't suss out just what he was after.
