WHO: Sylar [make_it_tick ], Maya Herrera [ennegrecida ] (Closed, unless Mohinder would like to join~) WHAT: Reconciliation! WHERE: At the docks WHEN: When Maya arrives.
The ship had come to a sudden halt, and Maya was hesitant to step off. She wanted to go home, she wanted to be with her brother again or at least with Dr. Suresh, and that sweet, little girl. Yet, she was dead, wasn't she? Or, she thought she was dead. She saw Gabriel pull the trigger, she felt the bullet pierce her skin, the blood pouring out of her chest, and then black.Next she was on a strange ship headed for nowhere, and felt nauseated.
The journal. The journal didn't offer many answers. It was shocking to find Gabriel was close by, and frightening too. A part of her still loved him, but if he really killed Alejandro...
Taking a deep breath, she stepped off the ship, and waited on the dock. She held her journal tightly to her chest, and looked around anxiously for Gabriel.
There he was.
"Is - Is that - " Maya could feel tears threatening to fall again. She blinked them back. No. She could not get upset. Not now. "Is that true?"
"Of course it's true," Sylar said quietly with a sad smile. He gently reached out to tuck a strand of hair behind her ears, using the moment to look at her eyes. She was visibly upset, but still perfectly harmless. So far he was in the clear. "I was worried I would never see you again," he expressed earnestly, mixing in a tiny bit of hesitation. He wanted her to think that he needed her, but he didn't want her to think that he thought for a second he'd be killing her for good
( ... )
Closing her eyes, Maya thought of a time when she believed Gabriel. When she thought he honestly loved her, kissed her, touched her tenderly like she was the only one in the world. Could he be lying now? Could this be the Gabriel she knew? Maya hoped to dear God he was. She didn't want to be alone anymore especially with Alejandro...
"I - my brother," she whimpered, taking his hand and holding it tight to her chest. "Wha - why is he - "
Sylar took a moment to decide how to handle this. He'd been thinking about it the entire walk over here. Of course it was going to come up, he just hoped it wouldn't be this soon.
No. Maya thought Sylar killed him, but as far as she knew he hadn't done anything. He had to go with that. Shaking his head, he looked at her with mild confusion. "Alejandro...? What about him, did something happen?"
She knew that he wasn't exactly best of friends with her brother, but he'd never given her reason to suspect it was more than that. Or less than that, as the case may be.

She couldn't bring herself to say it.
