When Remus arrived, Albus was standing perfectly still with his arms crossed behind his back. His gaze was distant, his focus clearly on his thoughts and not on the world around him. However, as soon as he heard Remus's voice, he turned his surprisingly blue eyes towards the boy.

So this would be one his future students. The thought was rather amusing. Albus had a hard time believing he would be tutoring eleven year olds much less someone who looked significantly older than that. In fact, Remus appeared to be about his age.

How curious.Albus found it easy to return the boy's smile, however. Taking a few steps forward, he noticed that Remus seemed to be injured. The scars on his face were not freshly healed, but they were enough to make him worry. It wasn't everyday that one obtained claw-like marks on one's face, after all ( ... )

It wasn't precisely hesitation that Albus sensed coming from Remus. Rather, the boy had the sort of calm about him that only living in daily chaos could create. Recently, with the arrival of a new puppy and the expansion of their shoppe, chaos seemed to be all Remus saw ( ... )

Albus's fate was in Remus's hands. He didn't find the concept disagreeable from what he had seen of the young man thus far; still, if life had taught him anything, he knew to be cautious. Thus he followed Remus silently for a moment, taking in his surroundings, his hands resting calmly at his sides.

"Was it your doing that I was brought here?" his eyes flashed with amusement. He knew full well that it wasn't Remus who had brought him here: not that he doubted the boy had the ability to do magnificent things. Albus just knew that it took a remarkable amount of power to Summon someone rather than something.

"Ah yes, but I can see this place being a nice respite for ailing souls." he tried to sound off-handed. Even he wasn't sure if he had managed it.

"My questions are few, thankfully. I would like to explore the area, but that can wait." he fell into step beside Remus, blue eyes darting from building to building, "Curious. This town looks as if it was modeled off of history. The 1700s to be exact." he motioned to some of the

The sudden disappearance of Remus from the shop was little surprise; she figured, as she stood in the doorway to his office with a cage of Puffskeins in her arms, that he'd run along to check on something. Perhaps grab a bit of lunch, possibly visit the loo. There was an odd assortment of things he could be up to at any point in time, but as she approached his desk and eyed the note, she raised a curious brow.

As she scanned over the piece of paper, her grip on the cage nearly gave, and it was only with an impressively quick reaction that she managed to save the furballs before they crashed to the floor. "...Merlin's beard."

She left the cage on the desk and flitted from the office, politely shooing the customers from the shop as she hurried to make an emergency closing.

"Rems?" She called as she moved through the streets of the marketplace. "Rems? Blast it all, you can be so hard to find--"

Did he bring Albus here? Remus looked... almost disturbed by the prospect. His brow furrowed, and he cast a very odd sidelong glance to Albus. He was about to make some offhanded comment about how Dumbledore should know him better than that... and then realized that no, he really didn't.

"Me?" There was a short laugh under his breath, "No, no. No one has a clue why or how we're brought here. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it."

Just as Albus began to muse on the architecture, Remus spotted Lily wandering aimless through the marketplace calling for him. He broke into a wide grin and shook his head, hooking an arm around her shoulders and tugging her along as he lead them toward the house.

"Lily, darling! I believe you've met Albus Dumbledore, have you not?"

"Rems! There you are, you tricksy little pixie!" Lily couldn't help a chuckle as he tugged her along. For a moment, the curious young man by his side was forgotten-- at least until she came to her senses ... right about the time Remus mentioned his name, as it were. She cast the would-be Headmaster a wide gaze, raising her brow in, well, just a bit of confusion.

"...A tad young, isn't he?" Not quite a whisper, but the way she leaned in close to Remus seemed to suggest she intended otherwise.

And a tad handsome, not to mention it. She might have blushed faintly at the thought. Pity even "faint" was hard to hide on her pale skin.

It really was a wonder how often this place managed to perform these sorts of magnificent tricks, she thought as she slid an arm around Remus' waist. Were this anywhere else, she'd have half a mind to blame one of Sirius' pranks for this and ramble on about Oh! How could he put a poor young man up to this?! Trick him! Befuddle him! Jumble his thoughts and force another identity on the poor soul, even! Cruel ( ... )

"A pity." Albus concluded, smiling faintly at Remus when he laughed ( ... )
