...Being all hosty and what not... totaldrama_king December 21 2009, 17:16:31 UTC
Tamaki walked up to the new arrival and bowed slightly. He had held a few parties back when he was in Japan so he figured he would greet everyone the same. "Welcome, my lady." He smiled brightly. "I'm glad to see you could make it. I apologize but I do not think I ever got your name." Tamaki held out his hand to shake hers.

Utena had ambled in behind Anthy like clockwork, balancing a cake box in one hand (courtesy of Angel's Teacloud), and removing her scarf with the other. When the blond boy introduced himself, she smiled and went to stand next to Anthy -- not close enough to be pushy, but enough so that she wouldn't feel crowded.

Utena remembered her saying she didn't like crowds, after all.

Like any true lady, Anthy did not shake hands. She merely offered hers to be kissed, whether Tamaki took the cue or not. "I am Anthy Himemiya." She claimed it with a hint of pride. And then, with a charming bit of fondness, "Utena Tenjou is my escort."

Tamaki's eyebrow cocked slightly as a smirk appeared on his face. Many of the ladies here had been insulted by his old ways so he tried being more casual. It was refreshing to see such a lady. He reached his hand under hers to softly lift it, while leaning his head down and placing his lips on the top of her hand for a second before returning to his previous positon.

"Welcome, Anthy." He told her softly. "And Utena." Tamaki bowed again, reaching out his hand. Seeing as though Utena was Anthy's escort, she assumed Utena would recieve the same treatment.

Geez, this guy. Utena fought the urge to roll her eyes. He already reminded her of Touga, and she'd been ready to correct Anthy..."escort" sounded a bit like "date," but the Touga-vibes she was getting from the blond guy was enough to make her let it slide. She managed, with great success, to continue to look as friendly as possible, but she shifted a little closer to Anthy.

She shook Tamaki's hand instead, and it wasn't really her fault if her grip was a little stronger than usual, right? "Thanks! Nice to meet you, uhhh..." She scratched the back of her head and looked sheepish. "Gee, I never got your name."

Anthy giggled lightly, and moved to take the cake box to the kitchen. She would come to rescue Utena in a moment, should the hollow prince detain her overlong.

"My name is Tamaki Suou." He introduce himself, slightly surprised by the transition back to the friendly handshake. Still, he was very happy to see all the guests that were arriving.

Tamaki turned slightly to meet Sachiko. "I do my best." He laughed softly. There was no doubt in his mind that everyone here could be friends and friends always have a great time together. "This all looks fantastic. There is no doubt that it will be a delightful evening."

Utena turned to Sachiko and grinned, rubbing the back of her neck. "Oh, hi Sachiko-san!" she glanced around; where had Anthy gone? "Um, gee. My friend was just here a minute ago. I wanted to introduce her." Or perhaps Anthy would introduce herself. It was odd, seeing her approach people, and smile and...giggle. She was so confident.

To Tamaki, she said, "Huh, you helped organize this? It's nice." That was the truth. Even though he reminded her of Touga, he didn't seem quite as rakish, and that made him easier to talk to.

Tamaki quickly glanced back and forth, looking for where Anthy had gone. After a few moments, he shook his head and brought his attention back to Utena.

"I helped a little but the other ladies did the majority of the work." He smiled towards Sachiko. "They did a wonderful job, I agree."
