Kobato had been informed that everything was out of the old house, so she didn't need to wander back there. A relief, since much of the house was structurally unsound. Yet Kobato found one of her many plushies was missing, and assumed it must have been left behind. Abandoning her logic (which she didn't have much of to begin with), the girl ambled her way into the now dilapidated house.

"Hello!" She called cheerily, not really expecting anyone to answer, but doing so out of habit anyway.

Minding her step on the uneven ground, Kobato found a shoe.

"A shoe!" She exclaimed, bending down to pull at it.

She was greatly surprised to find there was actually a body attached to that shoe, and that that body belonged to her "uncle" Lyle. She gasped, dropping his leg with little gentleness, and rushed to his side.

"Uncle Lyle! Uncle Lyle, why are you sleeping in the icky house? You should go home!"

It took a few minutes of prodding to get him to stir, but he finally did. His eyes opened, and his vision was completely blurry. He couldn't make out Kobato at first, she kind of looked like a big pink blur. Eventually however, his eyes adjusted.

"eh, Kobato?" He muttered as he tried to sit up, but ended up sliding right back down. Lovely. He stared up at the ceiling, as he had been doing quite a bit recently. "...isn't this home? I didn't really know where you guys went off to..."

Kobato crouched, fishing in her purse for a water bottle and her kerchief, embroidered with little pink bunnies. Soaking the kerchief, the girl gently began to wipe his face with the cool water, gently wiping the remnants of what could've been a drunken vomit from his mouth.

"We moved to a bigger house that was safer," She explained, "Papa's been looking for you. How long have you been here?"

"Uh....dunno." He muttered as she began to wipe his face. "Since a day or two after the snow..." Being that he had been in and out of it, he really wasn't certain just how much time had past. He let his head fall to the side, the healing bite marks still clear on his skin.

"So you guys moved....? Still got room for me?" He said with a sputtered cough. He hadn't seen any of them in quite some time, and he wasn't really sure what the house situation was. Being in the shape he was in, he hadn't been much up to go hunting for them in the cold.

"Well, the roof was falling down..." Kobato trailed off, running her fingers along his neck, careful not to touch the fresh wounds.

Despite how he smelled, despite his drunken stupor and his absence lately, Kobato pressed him close, heart aching as hers collided with his. So many of his feelings were muddled and pained. The little angel cradled his head on her shoulder, resting her cheek atop his head.

"There's always room for you, Uncle Lyle. We love you. Come home."

Lyle was quite aware of what a physical mess he was, however, he had pretty much ignored his emotions completely. Things were crappy enough without thinking about that right now. Kobato was probably more in tune with what he was feeling than he was right now.

"...Guess I will. Though I'm sure Neil will probably be pissed off at me again, for one reason or another." There were so many to choose from this time, between the bite on his neck, and the not looking for them, and passing out in a place that should be condemned...He was probably in for an ear full this time around.

It was almost welcomed after the weeks of silence.

"Come on," Kobato slipped Lyle's arm around her neck, bracing herself to lift the man, "Let's get you somewhere warm..."

Of course, Kobato likely weighed a hundred pounds soaking wet, and a tall, well-built Irishman was probably a bit much for her, so she near dropped him back to the ground.

"Ooof... Can you stand...?"

Lyle tried to pull himself onto his own two feet, and it seemed for a moment like it might work. But soon he slipped right back to the ground. He had not eaten properly in two weeks, and was extremely weak right now on top of everything else.

"...not sure I can, sweetheart. Don't hurt yourself."

Kobato shrieked, tumbling to the ground with him. She fussed over him, checking for bruises or further injuries, before propping him up againt the wall. It wouldn't do to leave him like this.

Tucking herself close to him, Kobato wondered if just being close to him would make his hurt heart mend. Just the feeling of its agonized beats so close to hers made her want to cry. She dug out her journal, patting his face with the cloth again.

"I'll call everyone. They'll come soon."
