Selene furrowed her brow and looked over her shoulder. Her eyes widened a little and she held the book up for a moment, looking ready to chuck it at his head. ...but then realization set in and she slowly lowered it, just staring a bit incredulously at Youji's teeth.

Herself? She'd decided to wear the ridiculous costume that had been dropped off for her, at least around the house. It barely covered anything, and she found that -- mysteriously -- her skin became quite a bit darker when she had it on. It looked odd on someone usually so pale.

She shifted a little to lean up on her knees, crossing her arms over the back of the couch. Was that... a smile on her face?

"Well, that's quite a look for you.

"Someone sent it, like yours," he replied, thinking to himself that it was odd that the plastic fangs didn't impede his speech any. Youji liked Selene's costume, and his own was just goofy enough that he couldn't take offense to it.

He kept poking the fake fangs with his tongue, not really knowing why it bothered him so much, until the right fang poked back.

"Ah!" he hissed, covering his mouth with his hand. Plastic didn't hurt that bad.

Pain? Oh, that intrigued her. She straightened a little, brow raising slowly. She grinned widely, reaching over to snag the collar of his cape and drag him down closer.

"What's wrong?"

He was face to face with her as she pulled him to her level. "It cut me," Youji protested, reaching up to feel the fang with his finger. It felt like solid enamel.

No way. This couldn't be real. He bared his teeth at her, hoping to be told that he was crazy. "These look pretty fake... don't they?"
