It was another one of those nights, the ones where Euphemia couldn't sleep, but at the same time, not quite. Usually she was able to fall asleep and would end up waking up once or twice in the middle of the night, and even then, that was happening less often. But this time, she couldn't even get to sleep, and it was rather disconcerting, as well as to be expected. There was no possible way any decent sleep could be had while Nunnally was in less than normal condition for her.
Standing from her bed, Euphie wrapped her arms around herself and simply stood for a moment, watching her feet. She still couldn't believe this had happened, and there hadn't been a thing she could've done-- No. This wasn't about herself and her weaknesses, this was about Nunnally. The sister she cared about the most, aside from Cornelia. With a sigh and a bit of mental berating, she walked from her room and down the hallway, planning on heading for the kitchen for a drink

For either one of them.
With a nod, Euphemia faked a small smile of her own and stood aside to follow behind him. It wouldn't have been right to truly smile in the room until Nunnally was back with them for good.
She knew about others falling into comas recently, and those who had woken up only a few days later. Pushing past all of her worry was the hope that this would just be the same way. While the causes were, from what she knew, probably different, she could only imagine, only hope, that Nunnally would make it out of this just fine. She'd been through so much as it was, and this was hardly

Lelouch led them to the family room as they meandered through the house silently. It was strange, how different the silence could be, now that Nunnally was gone. Before it had been peaceful. Calming. Now it seemed like the silence of a mausoleum
