[You can't think Maka's just gonna take this, can you? She sits on a log a couple feet away from the fire, giving Black Star a look.]

Why do we need a fire? Someone's going to notice -- think something's up. I told you guys it wasn't a good idea...

[But of course, no matter how many times she tells them, they wont listen. She puffs her cheeks out and turns her head to look over at the ocean. She rests her chin on her palm, leaning her elbow on her knees. Arg, boys. But if Tsubaki is sure that nothings going to go wrong, maybe it wont go so bad, as long as Soul and Black Star don't get stupid...]

[Soul tosses a few more onto the pile, not bothering to check whether he had been carrying more or less than Black Star, and to tell the truth, didn't really care either way.]

Maka, you're such a spoilsport.

[But a huge fire... what could be better? Shibusen didn't exactly cater to a boy's pyromania.]

[Tsubaki smiles, albeit a bit weakly.]

It's not too bad, Maka-chan. If someone comes, they can join in. [--Putting out the fire, Tsubaki thinks to herself, but doesn't say. She trusts Black Star, of course, but... well, at least they were at a beach, and she had thought ahead enough to bring a few large buckets, in case anything needed to be put out. Besides that, she had brought some chocolate cookies. Rivelata didn't seem to stock marshmellows, unfortunately.]

[Black Star gives Maka a look back and rolls his eyes before plopping himself on the sand and taking several of the cookies. A big star like him didn't need to worry about many things, and keeping their fire hidden was not one of those things. Really, what kind of party would it be if they were hiding? It was a good thing he was the one who put this together because Maka obviously had no idea how bonfire parties worked.]

You can't have a bonfire without a fire. Duh.

[There is a pause that lasts for all of eight seconds before Black Star's next "brilliant" idea strikes him.]

We don't need a bonfire. The last thing we need is a huge fire on our hands, especially on this stupid island.

[Maka just doesn't want to see everything go up in flames. And when Black Star and Soul start acting stupid, something is likely to begin to go up in flames like she's thinking.

She sighs.]
