Haruhi smiled as Karin greeted her. She was... cute? For lack of a better term. She sounded really sweet though. This was a person she wouldn't mind working for, that is, if she got the job.
"Me too," she told Karin as she stepped inside. Haruhi held up the bags in her hands. "I hope you don't mind, but I brought some of my own ingredients. I didn't know if you'd have everything, so I took the liberty to get my own." Well besides that, Haruhi didn't really want to intrude on their inventory, just in case Karin didn't like what she was about to cook.
When they made their way to the kitchen, Haruhi set down the bags on a nearby counter and started unpacking. She brought various vegetables, seafood, and some meat to create her dishes. And she hoped, no, prayed that what she was about to make turned out right.

Haruhi couldn't help but think that no matter how good or bad her cooking was, she'd be hired anyway. She just got that kind of vibe from Karin. It just seemed like she did need some help, if she was just willing to hire her on the spot. It was all the better for her anyhow, but she felt the need to prove herself. Haruhi shrugged the thought away though, and decided to focus on her cooking.
Everything was fairly simple to cook-- all the needed was a stove. She was done cooking in an hour and a half, and there were three dishes laid out on the counter. One was a white miso soup with tofu, shiitake mushrooms, seaweed, and thin scallion shavings sprinkled on top. The second was a shrimp and shaved celery salad with ginger dressing. The final dish was Yakisoba noodles with some seafood-- shrimp, octopus, and squid to be exact.
While she was cooking, she couldn't help but be reminded of her mother. These were her recipes after all. Though she was only five when her mom died, she remembered enough to miss her a lot. Come to think of it,
