[Ilena's eyebrows rose and she eyed Liz silently for a moment.]

... You are easily started.

[She moved and sat down easily, calmly eyeing Liz and her sandwich.]

An early start?

Uh... Yeah. You scared me, a little.

How'd you get over here?

Roofs. It makes map reading easier.

[Ilena removes the sword from her back and sets it against the table. It is hardly easy to sit with, after all.]

I trust you are well.

...Okay

[Liz notices the lack of an arm pretty quickly, but quickly finds her attention directed at the huge sword, gaping slightly.]

Wow... Do you carry that around all the time...?

Yes.

[There is a slight pause. Apparently she'd better elaborate.]

It is not uncommon for the humans of my world to bear arms as well. Do they not in yours?

Uh...

Not really, no.

Oh.

Then... I imagine either your world is far safer, or your people a lot less intelligent.

...In either case it might explain a few things.

Well... I've seen plenty of not-so-smart people around. ...I work with a lot of them, actually. Guys who go around calling themselves 'The Pranksmen' while wearing fedoras with purple feathers sticking out of them.

...Say what now?

That sounds very... distinguished. I have two comrades who considered themselves pranksters, of sorts... they're rivalry on and off the battle field was a fierce on in it's stupidity.

If those persons of your world do not need to carry a weapon, it makes sense that you would be so ill-prepared. If they simply do not know better, your alarm is equally explained. Have I spoken out of turn?
