WHAT: Be very, very quiet; we’re hunting kishin eggs.
WHERE: La playa (the beach).
WHEN: Not long after this.

"Yes!" Tsubaki answered, determined. Quickly she transformed into a kusarigama, her chains flowing to Black Star's hands. It had been a while since she had fought seriously with Black Star, their souls intertwined and battle-ready, feeling his powerful energy encasing her entire spirit. It was exhilarating, to be Black Star's partner. He was quite powerful, but he never treated Tsubaki like a tool. And no matter his bragging or bravado, Tsubaki always felt the most secure with her partner.

All over the beach there were skulking figures, many of them slinking around like shadows and others just outright bizarre. Right in front of Black Star and Tsubaki were a pair of monstrous men, their eyes huge and mean with muscles rippling over their bodies. The arms and torso were hugely disproportioned, much larger than the more normal-looking legs-- as with all corrupted souls, these humans were only vaguely recognizable as such.

“ALRIGHT,” he shouted, pointing towards their outlandish opponents before jumping down from the tree and sprinting towards them. Those lumbering idiots were asking for it. Really, thinking they could just walk on into the place, stomping all over the place, breaking shit, and hogging all the attention. No matter-they would take small fry like them out just as easily as all the others.

“You losers can count yourselves lucky-” Black Star shouted, jumping and landing on one of the would-be kishin, knocking him off balance, “because your souls are gonna be collected by the great Black Star!” He threw one of Tsubaki’s scythes, and grabbing the chain itself, and let the blade whip towards the other opponent,

cutting past him as he dodged. But Tsubaki didn't stop; with Black Star's soul infusing her own, the blade turned back to wrap around the man's arms and chest, rendering his upper body immobile.

"Now, Black Star!" Tsubaki cried. There was an opening, but the other man was getting up from where Black Star had caught him off-balance.

Anything would work; Tsubaki was ready to change into her brother's form, if need be, and Black Star had his own energy to knock enemies out with. For a moment, Tsubaki's racing heart slowed a little. It had been a while since they had battled true enemies, but battling with Black Star, well, wasn't relaxing, that was for sure, but it was definitely fulfilling. She smiled with determination. Together, they were ready for anything.

[ooc: It's fine! DX I'M sorry for the delay and bad action. Feel free to control Tsubaki as a weapon, though. He does it in canon, it doesn't have to be different in Rive. Great writing, though!]
