And of course he was there, shadowing her like some attentive really vague bodyguard to a princess in waiting. He was just a little behind and off to the left, and when she stepped up on the porch, he stayed out in the drizzle, and even went so far as to look up at it, blinking raindrops off his eyelashes every so often.
And he didn't really seem bothered by it. He was odd like that.
Stevie swept open the door to Dick n' Jilly's, which might as well be his house at this rate if he didn't stop using it for crash space. Which he would. Definitely. Next week.
"Kisa!" He grinned down in greeting - wow, she was tiny. And kind of overburdened. "Lemme get some of that for you," he laughed, ducking and lifting a cakebox from her fingers easily by the strings. It got him a good angle to size up the substantially less-tiny guy standing in the rain. "And you gotta be Hatsuharu."
He waved them both in. "We're set up out back, and the water's on for tea." He might've swiped some teacups from the primary Bat-house, but who cared? Well, maybe Giselle, but she only used like three at a time anyway.
Though she knew he was Stevie and a new friend, Kisa instinctively stepped behind Hatsuharu. Swallowing her nerves, Kisa peeked up at Stevie and offered him a brave smile. "Thank you Stevie-san." With her hand free, she slipped it into Hatsuharu's. "He is. He's my big brother and very special to me."
The girl smiled up at him, before ducking her head to hide a giggle. Yes he was very special to her and she was glad to have him here.
Following her new friend into the house, Kisa sniffed the air slightly. Two more people lived here, judging by the different scents. "This will be so much fun!" She laughed.
Hatsuharu lifted a hand in greeting to Stevie. He didn't wave, just lifted it, held it there for a couple of seconds, then dropped it again. The other hand was caught up by Kisa, and he let her drag him through, the usual half-asleep look coming to his eyes. A stray few droplets of water dripped off the ends of his snowy hair.

Still nursing a persistent hangover from last night's bout of drinking with Jason, Dick was happy for the notable lack of sunshine and general grey overshadow of the rain clouds while he was out in the garden setting up an area for the kids, well, teenagers, and whoever else might call by. Today they were an 'open house'.
But it was Tim's thing, so Dick was taking a back seat, just pleased to see his adoptive little Brother actively involving himself with people his own age, as socialising wasn't generally something Robin's had a lot of time for back home.
He finished lighting a few bottled candles, and eyed some of the food they'd already put out. What was it Roy swore by? Tomato juice, celery, a raw egg and vodka? Running a hand through his hair he played out the risks of hangover vs. the salmonella he'd no doubt get from the unpasteurised egg. Ultimately, the headache and feeling of being about to throw up won out against the fever and definite throwing up. Narrowly. Ugh

Jilly was watching the kids move around the house, sitting back in sort of a relaxed lounge and sketching them when they stood still longer than two seconds. She was already good at capturing the gesture of a figure with a few strokes of charcoal, but more practice certainly never hurt.
She smiled up at Dick when he came in, "Kind of a moot point to ask if you're feeling better, huh?"
Dick smiled a little sheepishly. "Yeah..." He took a precursory glance around the room and its occupants before sitting down next to Jilly. Tim obviously, he knew; the girl was Kisa, who had at some point been a tiger cub; and the other boy, older than Tim with the two-tone hair he didn't know, although Kisa seemed to be on good terms with him. Which was good enough.
"What are you drawing?" He asked Jilly, eventually taking his eyes away from the small gathering.
Jilly shifted a little to make room for him, grinning at the smile before answering, "The kids. They're always a good challenge to draw when they're up and moving."
She moved the sketchpad a little so she could see. The page was covered in mostly quick figure sketches, a few with rough details from when they had stood still long enough.

He smiled indulgently at the little girl.
"Hm..." he said thoughtfully. "Tea... yes..."
