WHAT: Ken disappeared to play soccer, and Aya is climbing the walls with worry.
WHERE: Weiss's new HQ.
WHEN: The same evening as this soccer game.

Ken had taken a long and convulted way home, cutting through as many crowded places as possible, using all the tricks he knew to throw off someone following him. Of course, it meant he got home a lot later, but he was confident that no one had followed him. He toed off his shoes in the doorway and habitually murmured 'tadaima' as he stepped into the main room.

Aya turned, startled, then crossed his arms and pinned Ken with a fierce glare. "Where the hell have you been?" he demanded.

"...what, am I not allowed to go outside now? I was out playing soccer." Ken glared right back at Aya. He didn't appreciate being treated like a child.

Well, that wasn't the answer Aya had expected, but at least he was back and not left for dead in an abandoned warehouse again. He sighed, faintly exasperated.

"You didn't think it might be a good idea to mention it to one of us?"

"...yeah. I do that sometimes, remember?"

As for mentioning it, Ken shrugged. "I don't expect you to hold my hand or anything. I can defend myself. Schuldich and Farfarello caught me off guard the last time, it's not going to happen again."
