Raine was suppose to be dead and yet the island nabbed her from well before that time. From well before they'd fallen in love.
From before everythingHow was he suppose to act around her? He couldn't tell her about their relationship. She simply didn't feel that way for him, he could tell from her words when she had come from. It only hurt all the more for him. It was a cruel thing, he thought, that the island would do this. Not only take Raine but also have her not know about what happen in the future while he was to sit there with the knowledge of Raine's future ( ... )

He was acting strangely, and yet he was acting exactly the same way she remembered from before. It made no sense but she chalked it off to being here in Rivelata. Then she heard a familiar voice call her name, and she turned around.
"There you are, Laguna," she said finally, having taken a moment or two to take in his appearance. There was something different about him and the way he looked, but she couldn't quite put a finger on what that was, so she finally pushed it away and tried forgetting about it. "You look like you're doing well."

Then he gave a small shrug. "Yeah, this place isn't really all that bad. I mean, not like Winhill or anything, but it's nice in it's own way. Though, random crap tends to happen too, just a forewarning."
And then a stuffed animal fell from the sky, hitting Laguna in the head and he jerked in surprise. He laughed and grabbed it before it hit the ground. "Like this!"
Laguna handed Raine the bear plushie.

"It's normal for the skies to rain stuffed animals, is it?" She asked as she took the bear Laguna handed to her and gave it a quick squeeze.
"Ellone would like that," she added as an afterthought.

His face lost the smile though, at the mention of Ellone. She'd been gone too, by the time he arrived at Winhill. He swallowed thickly, trying to not show what he was feeling on his face. "H-How has she been?"
