WHAT: The Ridges are nearly destroyed + the waves that manage to break through
WHERE: All over Rivelata
WHEN: Day 335 / Wednesday February 25th
Sitting on the boat meant to pick up Arrivals, one guard turned to the helmsman and gave him a quizzical look. "Don't you think it's a little strange... how there haven't been any new Arrivals in awhile?"
"I do think so, but our job is made that much easier by it, wouldn't you agree?" The other man replied.
"Well true but... ever since that red light... and the Queen acting funny..."
"I think you're imagining adventure in its absence."
Another, older guard made a chiding noise as he stepped up near the younger fellow. "No no, the lad's right... all the animals were twitchy just before we left. That's never a good sign. The Godking always did use them-"
"Now you're talking nonsense!" The helmsman replied angrily. "The Queen said she'd take care of that, didn't she? And I trust the Queen."
"I'll just be glad when we can turn this blasted boat around and head back to shore."
The elder man's eyes went wide as the sun started dipping behind the horizon at his back. He was looking out to the northeast. "Best be doing that now, lads."
Huges waves were crashing over the Ridges, breaking apart the rocky barrier that had prevented so many ships from leaving Rivelata, or entering the bay area from the rest of Ce Monde.
"TIDAL WAVES!"
However, the surge of the sea would not wait for the boat to get back to the docks. They were close, but not close enough, and the boat was catapulted upwards as the waves crashed on the beach, up against the walls of the city. In a matter of minutes, the height of the waves would be too much for the old stones.
Ce Monde had finally come to Rivelata.
[[Note: There is no rain or storm; the sky is clear despite being dusk. It is flash-flooding and should be a lot worse than what reaches Rivelata City -- The Ridges stopped most of the fierce waves and so the big one that will reach the city is 8 feet. At the highest ground in the city, around the castle, it will only get to about 4 feet high, and thus not be able to reach over the Castle Complex's walls. The flooding is around 3 feet in all of the lower areas.
Also note that anyone who contributed crystals to the Garnet's reforging log had them returned within a day or two in-game.]]
