What was this place?

Miria looked around, alert for any sudden ambushes. The people here gave no mind to her her black clothes and dull armor, not to mention her silver eyes and pale hair. Some eyed her large Claymore a little uneasily, but that was nothing compared to the usual reception humans gave (general pandemonium, immediate subservience, a few with knuckle-headed bravado). Either the people here were used to Claymores (had they seen her Claymores, or the Organization’s?), or they were used to stranger sights.

A woman walked up, a strange contraption keeping the rain off of her (a waste of resources; a cloak served fine to keep dry), and Miria noticed the few other beings near her person; two male children, one a little older. Humans, most likely, but it wouldn't do to make hasty conclusions with this place (sudden displacement had never been factored as a possible attack, or even a possibility. Who had sent out the order? It would be best to find out as much information as possible while being discreet.) Perhaps the ( ... )

Yuuko watched the woman's eyes move from her face, to Mokona, and back again. Yuuko and Mokona both knew to expect that reaction from people. The woman seemed to be on guard, but that wasn't enough to intimidate Yuuko.

"This place is called Rivelata. You were brought here."

The woman wasn't phased by the questions-- was she used to them or humoring her? Either way, Miria would gain much more by continuing the questions, as the woman did not seem adverse to them.

"Do you know why we were brought here? Do you know of a way to leave?"

Yuuko tilted her head back a little as she spoke, her expression becoming serious.

"Many reasons have been offered as to why we were brought here, but no one is certain of the true reason. There is no certain way to leave. Many have died or disappeared."

He watched the new arrivals arrive at the docks, more out of boredom than anything to do with curiousity. And just maybe, with a little hope, just in case someone he knew arrived, someone from home.

Or just any familiar or friendly face really. Everyone Sena had met and befriended were long gone and a part of him regretted that after establishing a few good friends, he never worked up the courage to befriend more and ignore the possible dangers associated with them.

Perched on a large rock jutting out from where the beach met the boardwalk, he didn't really have a very clear view of everyone, but---

Wait. One of those people...

They seemed really familiar. Jumping off the rock, he hurried his way over to the docks, to see if the person was familiar at all or if it was all just his imagination.

Bouncing, Mokona waited by the docks for the arrival of more people. The place still hasn't stopped pulling people in and that made the manjuu bun think if this should be a happy occasion or not.

Still, helping confused (and possibly frightened) people was something the white manjuu bun could probably help with.

As Mokona waited for the boat to dock, it remembered the events that led it there.

Yuuko brought it along for a peaceful walk on the beach after leaving the cafe to Wata-wan-wan when the boat was in sight. It was slowly looming over the horizon despite the drizzle. Knowing Yuuko, Mokona knew that she would not hesitate to help the poor people. And she did.

And even if she didn't, Mokona would convince her anyway.

Matsuda lost track of time. He certainly had no recollection of boarding a boat, and by the time he reached the dock, the initial panic and fear swirling around in his mind reaching such a peak that they canceled each other out into a state of numbness.

He may have been standing there a few hours, or perhaps just a few moments. The young investigator really had no idea.

The conversation between the women broke him from of his trance, eyes shifting to stare in their general direction. At least one of them seemed to have a general idea of where they were.

Marching right on over, Matsuda stopped in front of the two of them, straightening himself. He cleared. "Uh, excuse me, I don't mean to interrupt, but... Um, anyway, do either of you know what time the boat takes people back home? I really need to get back as soon as possible."
